The campfire party was quiet, to the extent that very little alcohol was consumed (although it was not uniformly distributed), but lively because we had a lot of funny stories.  Some are recounted elsewhere on this page, particularly the stories of Ernie the Tow-Truck Driver.  This is in fact when it was suggested (I think by Jeff and Karen) that we should have an Ernie Web page, so here: after five years, we're finally doing it.

We also heard a lot of Noel's real-life stories, and Noel's stories are always good.  The selection included such all time gems as:

• How Noel was mistaken for a would-be presidential assassin
• How Fortuna nearly blew up
• Noel acting as best man for another wedding (a.k.a. the Getaway Story)
• and of course "Noel meets Ernie"
