Player Characters
The NeoPD Special Operations Bureau. Of the four original player characters, three have now moved on.
Current Roster:
- Lieutenant Therius, a Nubian Centaur who transferred from Nova Roma three years ago. A seasoned veteran with versatile powers.
- Detective Johnny Mortis, an investigator from beyond the grave. He knows the guilty. Now if he can just prove it...
- Detective Eulalia Segama, an uplifted orang-utang with a taste for tasteful if conservative clothing, fine books, and science. The forensics specialist.
- Detective Specialist Katie "Nitro" Landsen, hazardous materials and explosives expert on a personal quest to find her father's killer.
- Detective Mike "Vorpal Tree Frog" Parker, just recently promoted and not too long out of Police Academy, whose specialty is teleportation.
Guest Appearances:
- Ruby Blouse, a young intern from the Academy who has on occasion assisted the S.O.B. team.
- Dr. Marvin Minsky, robotic engineer and detective at Precinct 9 who helped the SOB team capture the Caligulator.
Past Team Members:
- Detective Sergeant Maxwell "Prometheus" Fisher, a hot-headed investigator with mastery over fire.
- Officer Angelina Knight, a vampire clinging to her humanity (it helps that, these days, she can just buy blood at the blood bank!) The team's occult specialist.
- Officer Skip Sparkypants, a pixie with an affinity for electricity and electronics, and can also project illusions.

- Brumhild-4, Ferro-American working for Legion of Brooms, the cleaning service for a recently burglarized house.

- Vyolet Duske, mutant undead. Angelina and Vyolet have been at odds for over forty years, and Vyolet has designs on Angelina's date, Philippe.
- Alexi "Strong" Fanglestein, father of small-time villain Seymour "The Cobra" Fanglestein.
- Mika "Angel of Mercy" Fanglestein, mother of small-time villain Seymour "The Cobra" Fanglestein.

- Herb Gissler, the khaki officer in charge of the Precinct Ten surveillance room
- Lt. Consuela "La Niña" Gonzales, in charge of the precinct's night shift
- Stan Hausman, small-time drug manufacturer who contaminated some Hallowe'en candy; brutally murdered.

- Julio Hernandez, a schoolbus driver who accidentally overdosed on Hallowe'en candy tainted with illegal drugs

- Nestorius "Obsidian Sorcerer" Jones, last suviving member of the 1960s super team, the Neopolis Star Guardians. (Played by Ossie Davis.)
- Sergeant Jumbotron, the SOB team's main contact at Precinct 9; looks like an old television with green screen, rabbits-ears antennas, and Jacob's ladder effect.
- K-924, "The Kelvinator"'s parental unit
- K-1132 "The Kelvinator", a post-organic mover and shaker in the Neopolis drug market
- "King Galactic", wanted for sexual assault in the Shirley Feldstein case.
- "Komodo", a Saurian member of the League of Evil, and suspect in the Stan Hausman murder.

- Mongo, driver and proprietor of Mongo's Cab and Meat Delivery Service, perhaps the only cab that ventures into Snowtown. Drives a big old herse with a cow mounted on the front and FSM bumber sticker. Mongo is 6'8"; his pet is a 25-lbs rat called Shredney Vashtar. They listen to NPR in the cab.
- The Mongoose, one of Detective Segama's contacts in the animal rights movement.
- Joan "Livewire" Moriguchi, reporter for the Neopolis Beacon; Detective-Sergeant Maxwell Fisher's girlfriend.
- Doctor "Mortulus" Ramayaranyana, cyber-specialist who treated Senator Valerianus at Decepticonvalescent Hospital on Parallel 9.

- The Slicer, low-key gloved man in a surgical mask and round glasses, showing no affect; new reigning champion at Archie Nemesis' streetfights.
- Raymon Smith, a.k.a. Daybreak Newstar "The Hood" Sitrajanipan, formerly sidekick to small-time villain "The Cobra", now reformed and a cab driver.

- Leandra "The Mirror" Strauss, a metamorph who attended Aneglina Knight's unbirthday party.
- "Steely Dan", a ferro-American member of the League of Evil, picked up as a suspect in the Stan Hausman murder.
- Tesla, an officer from Albion who took receipt of the Kelvinator and his parental unit.
- Marta "Boots" Wesson, underage repeat offender
- Leandra "the Mirror" Wiecek, a metamorph who can assume racial traits and looks. She works in PR at the TransWorld station.
