Night Shift

Detective Mike "Vorpal Tree Frog" Parker  is the youngest detective on the NeoPD Special Operations Bureau's roster, and the most exuberant.  Everything is a lark to him, and he revels in the use of his powers of teleportation and wall-clinging.

He's been known to scare suspects a bit, perhaps not entirely up to NeoPD code, but has not yet overstepped himself; however, Lt. Therius – who had quite enough of this with Skip Sparkypants – is keeping a close eye on Parker.

Parker's sister Rhonda is a single mother whose ten-year-old twins, Calvin and Suzie, have decided to become Mike Parker's sidekicks.  They call themselves the Newts: Tad and Polly.

Both Mike and Rhonda were raised by their upwardly mobile, well-connected politically savvy father and his (second) trophy wife after he divorced their mother.  Mom is an alcoholic white trash shoplifter with minor teleportation abilities, who is currently required by her counselling contract to live in Snowtown in order to neutralize her shoplifting powers (and consequently resorts to old-fashioned methods.)
