Using CyberBoard
Quick-Start Reference

Here are the steps to reviewwing the previous
players' moves and entering your own move into the history file (using CyberBoard version 1.0):
Using the Game Files
-
Load the game file, which will have the *.gam extension (e.g., "Superiority.gam").
-
Open the current game board by double-clicking on it (e.g., "Tlachtli").
-
Make sure the "History playback" has reached its end by clicking on the
last entry in the Game History, clicking the "Play" (forward arrow) button,
to the end, then the "Stop" (square) button.
-
Click on "Playback" then on "Accept Move File Playback".
-
Click on "Actions", then on "Begin a Compound Move", or on the icon
on the toolbar.
-
If moving: Pick up your player counter and place it on the correct hex.
-
Pick any appropriate counters (e.g., Hidden, Smoke, etc.) from the marker
palette (toolbar icon or under "View", "Marker palette")
and place them on the board
-
Enter a message describing your turn (toolbar icon or under "Actions",
"Enter Message").
-
Click on "Actions", then on "End a Compound Move".
-
Click on "Send Recorded Moves to File" icon (also found under "File")
and named your move when prompted (e.g., "Huzgotabotl Turn #4").
The next players may want to start by reviewing the game history first;
if you double-click on a particular saved move, little "play", "fast forward",
"back", "stop", and "pause" icons will appear on the toolbar. You
can review each previous player's move that way (as long as we save 'em!)
You have to be careful to have your window open to the correct general
area or the move will be replayed but won't be visible. Send both
the game file and the move history file when you're finished with your
move.
