By integrating chemistry and GIS databases, compared 600 historical data points to as many proposed sampling locations for a CERCLA RI to identify redundant sites. In two meetings of the multi-agency workgroup, helped the participants sort through the information and make consensus-based decisions, using on-the-fly GIS support and providing a 10% reduction in the RI sampling work plan extent and associated budget.
In support of ecological risk assessment work for a major CERCLA site with over 60 years of nuclear contamination, created custom databases and associated documentation, provided data management and quality assurance, and created tools that allowed stakeholders to access greater levels of information cross-referencing and identify data gaps.
Created custom databases to help clients track and analyze surface water and groundwater monitoring data; prepared user manuals, prepared technical recommendations for future monitoring, and provided clients' personnel with training.
