Louis
Léopold Belpaire
A draughtsman for a well-known magazine, ‘Le Soir Illustré’,
Belpaire is a healthy man in his late twenties. He is of average physique,
neither tall nor short, neither weak nor heavily muscled., though he may
be a bit thin. With a lifestyle like his, one doesn’t have much occasion
to grow fat. He has brown eyes and likes to grow his dark brown hair
rather full, though not long. He cultivates a typical ‘artist’ moustache,
and in society, he dresses rather extravagant, the way one would expect
a Bohemian to. Being a noble of the Flemish part of Belgium, he was raised
bilingual and speaks both Dutch (more precisely the Brabant dialect) and
French with a Brussels accent (which he cultivates as, in Paris, this is
considered to be chic). In addition to that, he can converse fluently in
German and English, though one recognizes him as a foreigner immediately
on the pronunciation of a few words.
