Great Dragons of Barsaive

Here is what the average Barsavian on the street knows about the Great Dragons of Barsaive.

Aban ("ah-BAHN")
Lives in the Mist Swamps and claims them as territory.  Frightens off or eats any Namegivers caught entering.  Known to dislike Therans.  A lot.
Alamaise ("ah-la-MAIS")
Used to claim the Wyrmwood as territory (hence the name).  Since its transformation into the Bloodwood, has hated and despised the Blood Elves.  A lot.
Earthroot
Known to live under the Throal Mountains.
Icewing
Lair atop Mount Vapor in the Throal Mountains.  Icewing has had considerable contact with Namegiver races in the past, usually through intermediaries.  Known to have a large group of Namegiver servants/employees.  Has considerable interaction with the Court of Throal.  Can be petitioned with suitable gifts through one of his emisaries in Throal.
Mountainshadow
Widely believed to be the oldest and most powerful dragon in Barsaive.  Lairs in the Dragon Mountains.  Known to have offered several Barsaivians Namegiver communities protection from the Scourge through dragon magic.  Fought against the Therans and lost.  Suspected to dislike Therans.  A lot.  Studies Namegivers and occasionally interacts with them, but totally on his terms.
Usun ("oo-SOON")
Lives in the Liaj Jungle.  Does not interact with Namegivers except as a food source.
Vasdenjas ("vas-DEN-yas")
AKA "Vasdenjas the Terrible", "The Master of Secrets", and "The Eater of Cities". Prior to the Scourge had considerable interaction – of a rather voracious nature – with the nation of Scytha.  The only dragon openly approachable by Namegivers (those brave enough to enter the Scytha Mountains) with a gift of at least 1,000 SP value.  Note that giving Vasdenjas money does not protect you from being eaten if you bother him with a trivial matter.
Vestrivian ("ves-TRIV-ee-an")
AKA "The Despoiler".  Known as a wise and agressive dragon before the Scourge, has now become horror tainted.  Has destroyed entire communities, but strikes seldom and without warning.  Lots of scary stories in present day Barsaive have Vestrivian as the big, scary bad guy.

There are, of course, other dragons in Barsaive who are not great dragons.  Adult and young dragons are spread throughout the area, usually in territory overseen by one of the great dragons.
