Honesto is a nondescript middle-aged man with gray hair and gray clothes, missing his left ear Honesto is about as ordinary as one can get. In view of his lack of of talent for anything specific, he became a petty thief -- and not a very good one. Now missing an ear as a reminder that inept criminals get caught, he started looking for gainful employment in safer conditions. Subsequent misadventures nearly got him killed, but a magus took pity on him and nursed him back to health. He is not expected to survive long working for magi. His only advantage is his sense of self-preservation, alas contradicted by a feeling of obligation to the magi -- a first for Honesto. It's just that no one had ever been kind to him before... |
