The Chronicle:

Letter from Ferdinand de la Reina del Mar to Constanza Orduño, Nonus 1668

Freiburg, Nonus 1668.

Dear Lady Constanza,

I write to you in the highest regards.  I am not much for words, so I shall keep this simple and to the point as best as possible.  We met some time ago and you had been introduced to me by the Lady Melisandre and Don Lucas de Aldana.   I am Ferdinand de La Reina del Mar, but please... call me Ferdinand.   Nothing more but a mere Castillian solider am I, but now...  I believe that I may have more trouble than any man could possibly have, the Inquisition.   I have suspicions that something is stirring within their ranks that might cause, shall we say, undue stress upon the King.  There are many things we need to discuss at great lengths, but I'm not in a position to do such here, while in Eisen.   Even now, I may have trouble getting this letter to you as they watch my every move.

I will write again sometime, when the hour is late and they have all gone to sleep.  I don't prefer the daytime much... people think of me as some sort of creature of Legion with this damned collar.   I'm not quite sure how to remove such...

May Theus Bless,

Ferdinand
