Soroka Poison Oracle
Note that Sorcery that is obtained through bargaining with the Celestial Orisha limits a character's Trait maximum to 5 as if he was Théan. (If you want to know why, you'll have to read Die Kreutzritter and figure it out for yourself.)
Many forms of Nyamban magic are fairly inexpensive, specialized, and low-powered compared to Théan sorcery.
Not really magic per se, but a development of the Unthlatu's dragon heritage, this is the ability to breathe some form of harmful substance. As an Unthlatu gets more in touch with his or her dragon heritage, his or her skin also develops thicker scales. Activating the Unthlatu's breath weapon requires the expenditure of a drama die.
APPRENTICE - the Unthlatu may spend
a Drama die to activate his or her breath weapon for a single attack.
ADEPT - the Unthlatu may spend a Drama
die to activate his or her breath weapon for an entire round.
MASTER - the Unthlatu may spend a Drama
die to activate his or her breath weapon for an entire scene.
Strength - this is simply the number
of dice that are rolled for damage for the Unthlatu's breath weapon.
Penetration - this is the number of
dice that are kept when rolling damage for the Unthlatu's breath weapon.
Targeting - this is the skill used to
target the Unthlatu's breath weapon. This skill uses Wits instead of
Finesse.
Range - this is the range of the Unthlatu's
breath weapon, and is equal to 10 yards x the level purchased in this ability.
Armor - this represents a toughening
of the Unthlatu's scaly skin. At level 3 the Unthlatu gains +5 to his
TN to be hit. At level 5, the Unthlatu reduces an opponents damage by
two kept dice instead of one.

Half magic, half swordsman school, the Nibomay Amazons are the most feared fighting force in Nyambe. Each Nibomay is mystically bonded to two weapons - a razor sword and a great bow. These two weapons become a conduit to focus the power of the Orisha through the Nibomay. All the skills and abilities of this school can be used only if the Nibomay is using her bonded weapons - no others, even of the same type, will do. If these weapons are lost, they can never be replaced, so most Nibomay would rather die then let them out of sight, and will go to almost any lengths to get them back. Nibomay can sense their bonded weapons when within 100 feet of them.
APPRENTICE - the Nibomay's bonded
weapons cannot be broken without extrordinary effort. They are effectively
immune to any weapon break attempts. Also at this level the character
may use her skill with her bonded razor sword (attack) in place of strength
when rolling for damage with the bonded razor sword or calculating raises
when an opponent uses Beat..
ADEPT - the tie between the Nibomay's
weapons and herself grows stronger. The Nibomay is now immune to any
attempt to disarm her when wielding her bonded weapons.
MASTER - the Nibomay has achieved perfect
union with her weapons. Her weapons may not be bound using the bind
maneuver. In addition, at any time when the character would be Knocked
Out, she may remain conscious long enough to take 5 additonal actions (her
skill in Fighting Spirit). During these five actions the character
will act as though unwounded. Even if the character sustains enough
damage to kill her she will still get her five actions.
Bonded Razor Sword (attack) - this is
the character's skill at attacking with her bonded razor sword
Bonded Razor Sword (parry) - this is
the character's skill at parrying with her bonded razor sword
Bonded Great Bow (snapshot) - this is
the character's skill at shooting with her bonded great bow (note that Nibomay
Amazons are trained to use their bow exclusively for snapshooting, putting
a large number of arrows in the air as quickly as possible).
Bonded Great Bow (trick shoot) - this
is the character's skill at trick shooting with her bonded great bow.
Fighting Spirit - this skill measures
the dedication and determination of the Nibomay Amazon. For each level
of Fighting Spirit one of the character's "Crippled" levels becomes a regular
wound level instead. This has no effect on when the character becomes
Knocked Out unless the character achieves Master level in this school.

APPRENTICE - the Zombi master can
create Rank I Brute Squads of Zombies
ADEPT - the Zombi master can create
Rank II Brute Squads of Zombies, or a single 75 pt Zombi henchman.
MASTER - the Zombi master can create
Rank III Brute Squads of Zombies, 3 75 pt Zombi henchmen, or a single 100-pt
Zombi.
Create Zombies - this is the skill
level that measures the Zombi master's ability to create Zombis. For
every rank in this ability the Zombi master can create one brute squad of
Zombies. The level of the Zombi master determines what rank these Brute
Squads are. For every rank in this skill a brute squad contains two
zombies. An apprentice with 1 level in this skill could create a single
brute squad of 2 rank I zombies, while a Master with 5 levels could create
5 brute squads of 10 rank III zombies each!
Speak with the Dead - this skill indicates
how well the ZOmbi master can communicate with his charges. Each rank
allows the Zombi master to give one command to a group of Zombies. "Go
to the temple, seek the Nibomay Amazon, kill her" would be three commands.
This skill also allows the Zombi master to ask questions of newly (less than
24 hours) dead corpses.
