Maps of Théah:
Montaigne
(Clickable map) This map file was obtained from the Temple
of the Rose + Cross site, by kind permission of Mark Woodward (a.k.a.
Sir Marcus Saint-Claire, Senior Knight of the Rose + Cross). The
R + C site has other very nice maps such as the historical maps of Theah,
and a lot of other interesting materials. Very nicely designed too,
I'm envious.
Red lines indicate major trade roads. Red dots indicate cities
visited during the campaign. The sites of interest are listed below.
- Barcino: Although the city is on the Castillan side of the Trade River, it now remains as a Montaigne possession after the recent peace treaty of Quartus 1669.
-
Charouse: Royal capital. The heroes met with princess
Dominique de Montaigne in the catacombs of Charouse, then fled the city
pursued by Charles du Chevalier and his musketeers.
-
Dechaine: This is where the heroes boarded the River Mist,
a.k.a. the Windy Bough, to go up the Dechaine River. On the
river they had the joy of encountering and fighting the legendary Beast of Dechaine.
-
Paix: The southern city of Paix revolves around the enormous embassy complex, a center of diplomacy to smooth the wrinkles made by the often rash decisions of the royal family. The heroes visited this city when they sought to gain introduction to Princess Anne de Montaigne and her son Pascal, the Dauphin.
