Charouse

(Clickable map.)  In Nonus 1667, the heroes met with princess Dominique de Montaigne in the catacombs of Charouse, then fled the city pursued by Charles du Chevalier and his musketeers.  They returned in Julius 1669 to negotiate the Dauphin's renouncement to all rights to the throne of Castille.

Sites of importance are listed below.

• (5) Lévesque War College
• (7) and (8) Royal Army Encampment
• (11) Le Château du Soleil: Court of Empereur Léon XIV
• (25) Palais du Vieux Roy: Palace of the old king
• (26) Palais de Justice: Justice hall and gallows.
• (31) La Fierté de l'Empereur: Musketeer Academy.  The heroes went there in Julius 1669 to visit Captain Jean-Marie Rois et Reines de Rogné.
• In green:
• (16) Great University of Charouse.  Constanza did a bit of research there in Julius 1669.
• (17) Chapterhouse of the Explorers' Society
• (22) Grand Opéra: Opera house.  The heroes emerged from the catacombs into the wings of the Great Opera after meeting with Princess Dominique de Montaigne in the adventure of The Lady's Favour.  They returned with more decorum a year later, invited by Duchess Thérèse Rois et Reines de Rogné.
• (28) Chapterhouse of the Knights of the Rose and Cross:  Ferdinand and Constanza went there in Julius 1669 to meet with visiting Grand Master Aristide Baveux.
• In purple:
• La Pescada:  Little "Castillan" inn (actually owned by a Montaigne) where the heroes stayed in Julius 1669.
• Jean-Marie Rois et Reines de Rogné's Manor:  the heroes visited the Captain and his wife Princess Anne there in Julius 1669.
