To the tune of "Rasputin".
There lived a certain man in Eisen long ago
He was bald and crazed, in his eyes a drunken glow
Most people looked at him with terror and with fear
But to Freiburg folk he was just creepy and weird
He could ask weird questions like a survey
Full of cheap old wine and beer
But he also was smart in his own way
Though he was so queer
Aye aye Eisenfurst
Drunk on Eisen's very worst
There was a cat that really was strange
Aye aye Eisenfurst
He could never quench his thirst
It was a shame he became deranged
He ruled the Freiburg town and never mind the law
But the alcohol he drank really kept him raw
In all affairs of state he would carefully think
But he was real great when he had some wine to drink
For the town he was no nasty villian
Though they heard the things he'd said
They believed he needed penicillin
If it cleared his head
Aye aye Eisenfurst
Drunk on Eisen's very worst
There was a cat that really was strange
Aye aye Eisenfurst
He could never quench his thirst
It was a shame he became deranged
But when his boozing and thinking and his thirsting
For drinking became closer and closer to bursting
The demands to do something about this big boozing
Man became closer to choosing
This man's just got to stop! declared his enemies
But his servants begged "Don't you try to do it, please
No doubt this Eisenfurst had lots of hidden places
Full of heavy wine they were hidden from their faces
Then one night some men of higher standing
Set a trap, though it was real dumb
"Come to visit him" they kept demanding
And he let them come
Aye aye Eisenfurst
And the bottle that he nursed
They put some urine into his wine
Aye aye Eisenfurst
Loved the bottle that he nursed
He drank it all and thought it was fine
Aye aye Eisenfurst
Always giving drunk outbursts
They gave up and just let him drink
Aye aye Eisenfurst
It was clear that he was cursed
But is he as drunk as you think
Oh, those Eisens...
