Comte Louis-Claude de Sinjin is the ultimate fop, a deadly swordsman, and a patron of the Knights of the Rose and Cross. He often claims to be over three hundred years old.
Ferdinand and Juan first met him in Freiburg at the Order's chapterhouse. Then Ferdinand ran into him again in Paix, where the Comte took "Beggar John" in tow for one of Duchess Lillianne Deneuve de Surligne's parties. He had no difficulty in telling Sarina from Melisandre, and submitted Ferdinand to a series of annoyances.
