Richard O'Bannon was rescued at age 12 from an Avalon ship when this vessel and the Santa Cruz mutually annihilated one another during the destruction of the Castillan Armada. Lucas and him saved one another from drowning in turn. Taking pity on the boy, don Andrès de Aldana had him raised with his own children. It was soon discovered that "Ricardo" was a Glamour sorcerer.
He grew up alongside Lucas, Miranda and Constanza and travelled with them for some time, then eventually left them upon returning to Avalon.
Ricardo is about 5'9", with shoulder-length dusty blonde hair, dark hazel eyes, and a goatee. He sports a tattoo of an intricate cross with two swords going through the crux of it on his right biceps. Whenever nervous, he tends to run his hands through his hair.
