It is not known whether the creatures are always so ferocious, or whether this was simply an effect of the madness induced by their travel through Porté.
| Two Black Wolves were transported through Porté sorcery and
released in King Sandoval's room while he was visiting the front lines
at El Moro in Septimus 1668. Suspecting foul play, Juan and Vlad
had traded rooms with the king for the night, and met with the full force
of the beasts' assault. Upon hearing the noise of battle, the young
king burst in and joined the fray. The beasts were finally put down.
