| Shamus O'Grady was an Innish sailor with a chequered past and the connections
to match. He was highly suspected of piracy and had a strong and
personal dislike for the Sea Dogs. Although he was a competent sailor,
his official crew position had apparently been cook, hence the nickname
he eventually acquired in Castille.
