The heroes met him when they brought him Princess Dominique's message in the adventure of The Lady's Favour.
| The tactical genius who put down a rebellion, invented a new form of
warfare, and led the invasion of Castille first impressed the Empereur
but has now begun to scare him. When the Empereur ordered him to
abandon the invasion of Castille to launch an offensive on Ussura, he was
hoping this would be the General's downfall. Warned of this treachery
by his wife Princess Dominique, the general is now having second thoughts
about his duty to the Empereur. He is extremely popular with his
men, who seem to have more personal loyalty to him than to the Emperor.
