Madeline de Bisset is a member of the Explorers' Society and a Porté sorceress, posted in Freiburg. Because of her Sorcerous abilities, she ends up travelling more than she would like to; she would much prefer to be allowed to pursue her research without interruptions. She is business-like, curt and impatient with those who disrupt her work in any way.
The heroes first met her in Freiburg during the adventure of the Scoundrel's Folly, when they were introduced by her colleague Reginald Coleson. They carried a box to the Explorers' chapterhouse in Carleon for her. They met her again a couple of times in Dionna, where she was temporarily assigned, and in Feiburg again afterwards.
