The heroes first met him in the adventure of the Bonita's Treasure, when he took great pleasure in beating information out of them in order to find the treasure. Later, Constanza snatched a cargo of Syrneth artefacts right from his clutches when she pursued and boarded the Crimson Rogers ship Le Dauphin. Bad feeling was mutual and steadily increasing. In Quartus 1669, Caligari captured Constanza and Allende while they were in Freiburg, and had his henchman smash Constanza's left hand.
He betrayed his uncle Prince Vincenzo Caligari to Reis; in lieu of thanks, Reis beheaded him.
