Guy McCormick was a prominent member of the Explorers' Society. He and his wife Amanda searched for Syrneth secrets. Amanda organized an expedition to search for Cabora, but disappeared without a trace. Ten years later, a Construct calling itself Mumblety Peg came to McCormick, wearing Amanda's jacket and talking about the lost island of Cabora.
Mumblety Peg apparently drove McCormick to insanity, luring him with promises of finding his long-lost wife beyond the 7th Sea. McCormick allied with Khereid-Din in the search for Cabora, but died on the Island of the Fifth Switch in the final collapse of the tunnels.
