Redmund Erhart

Unpleasant merchant and peculator

Merchant and head of wealthy family with iron mines in Atemlos. Now a major landowner in Freiburg, he has been the most vocal and relentless of the Castillan embassy's creditors after buying back a series of small debts encurred to various traders.  He was recently engaged to be married to a Vodacce woman and invited the heroes to show off, but his bride was found poisoned shortly after. It was eventually discovered by the heroes he was forcing the woman to marry him; upon learning she intended to poison him, he forced her to drink her own poison.

Fat and unpleasant, he has earned everyone's dislike.  Melisandre and Mendoza executed him for his crimes, using poison as a tool of poetic justice.  There was much public rejoicing in Freiburg over his death.
