Enrique Orduño was, until recently, commander of the Castillian navy and one of her shrewdest admirals; he has managed to single-handedly rebuild the Armada in the last few years. In fact, he is beginning to create enemies through his combination of startling competence and no-nonsense, direct approach to politics. He has made little effort to conceal his dislike of the Inquisition.
He is Constanza's uncle and patron, and arranged for her to obtain a letter of marque and reprisal for the Maris Stella. He regularly gave her new missions, usually including a few special instructions.
He wa temporarily removed from his post by the Inquisition for heresy in 1669, but returned to office with the ascencion of Queen Sara and King Javier to the throne.
