Don Lorenzo is a young swordsman and playboy who broke countless hearts in San Juan with his many romances before the Montaigne invasion. He is also known to fight in the Zepeda style with whip and rapier.
The heroes met him in La Reina del Mar, and he immediately attracted the antipathy of don Juan and don Lucas, as well as the contempt of doña Constanza. Doña Melisandre, however, or rather the mysterious woman who was secretely impersonating her at the time, found him quite charming.
They suspect him to be none other than El Malvado, a mysterious vigilante who slays Montaigne soldiers in Occupied Castille by burning them horribly, signs each kill by leaving a red rose near the body, and is believed to be a powerful adept of El Fuego Adentro sorcery.
