The heroes fought a Drachen in the adventure of The Mark of El Víboro, while they were conscripted to work in El Víboro's mines. The bandit-priest, after decoding an ancient text, washoping to find dracheneisen, not a drachen! Vlad stumbled upon the cavern where the drachen was sleeping and, apparently not informed of the common wisdom that advises letting sleeping dragons lie, poked it awake. The angry drachen ravaged the mine and everyone fled. The creature was eventually trapped when the heroes collapsed the mine entrance. In retrospect, this was probably a rather small drachen, but no one really wanted to see a big one after this.
Except... they had to eventually. The heroes discovered the secret of a fabulous treasure hidden in caverns under Drachenheim Manse; but a drachen was garding it. The creature looked unusual, with a sheen like silvery clay, and turned out to be immune to dracheneisen weapons. After an epic fight that left everyone on the brink of death, Lucas managed to deal the eisendrachen enough damage to convince the beast to retreat. Unfortunately, the eisendrachen was loosed upon Freiburg, and started growing at an appalling rate. It took all the heroes' efforts and the assistance of the Nibelungen to slay it.
