| Brother Cadfaello was confessor to Lucas, Miranda, Constanza, and Ricardo.
He displayed wisdom, intelligence, and astuteness, and was always partisan
of peaceful solutions although he could hold his own in a fight.
His cleverness and eloquence came in handy in several occasion, such as
when he was able to talk the Cardinals' Guards into laying down their weapons
rather than skewer the heroes in the adventure of The New King,
and when he successfully answered the Fleishwulf's riddle in the adventure
of The Lady's Favour. He also had contacts with the Invisible
College which proved useful.
