Don Andrès is the father of Lucas and Miranda, and one of Good King Sandoval’s closest advisors. He is often at odds with the King's other advisor, the zealous Cardinal Estéban Verdugo. Don Andrès is known as a good, upright man whose love for Castille is unsurpassed.
Although Lucas and the rest of the heroes have hidden this from him, it is his wife doña Lucia whom Prince Giovanni Villanova held prisoner (Andrès believed her dead.) Constanza's mother Esmeralda was his sister. After Constanza became an orphan, he took her in and raised her with his own children.
He was killed in early Sextus 1669 while defending the king during an attack by Montaigne hard-liners, striking at the peace negotiations. The attack was led by a force using Porté, El Fuego Adentro, and Laerdom sorcery.
