Aldana Steel

Characters

Over 300 Names and 100 Pictures!

The Duel on the Beach

The names of some characters from the official sourcebooks have been slightly modified: some in order to work in a subplot, some because we used the character before a more detailed description was supplied in a subsequent sourcebook, some to avoid confusion with other similar names, some to change their nationality, some to make them more faithful to the languages being pastiched (Sophie bristles at the faux-French in the Montaigne references, and the other languages are no better; see the article on Th้an names.)  We hope everyone will be able to cope with the sacrilege.

Heroes

Listed in order of appearance, these are the heroes that make up our current group.

Se๑or Lucas Lucani y Aldana – Swordsman and diplomat.  Played by Shawn.

Doña Constanza de Aldana y Orduño – The leaping cartographer.  Played by Sophie.

Don Ferdinand Valiente de la Reina del Mar – A Castillan soldier and self-made gentleman.  Played by Ken.

Doña Sara Melisandre de Ramirez – Devoted chirurgeon and consummate lady.  Played by Marce.

Heroes on Hiatus

Mendoza – An entertainer and handy man.  Played by Bryan.

Some Past Heroes

Listed in order of appearance, these are some heroes that have been retired or abandoned.  No Hero has yet died "on stage" in our campaign, although we've used lots of Kharma Dice, and Ferdinand owed his return from the dead to a bizarre set of coincidences in die rolls.

Doña Miranda Aldana de Aldana – Lucas's twin sister, currently in a coma (see under Castille NPCs). Played by Sarah.

Richard "Ricardo" O'Bannon – a full-blooded Glamour mage rescued during the Castillan Armada disaster,.  Upon setting foot again in Avalon, he chose to follow the call of the Sidhe.  Played by Ken.

Brother Cadfaello – a priest and scholar, confessor of Lucas, Miranda, and Constanza.  He returned to his studies after theErebus Cross trilogy. Played by Brigitte.

Angela – Ah, uh, um.  Well.  Short-lived but aggressive swordswoman, described by the player as "gutter material", and a lesbian, whose goal in life was to seduce noblewomen but refused to buy the Courtier skill, let alone the Seduction knack.  First time she tried to hit on anyone was Lucas and Miranda's mother, don Andrès' wife!  Gone, not forgotten, but not missed either.  Played by Ron.

Sebastian – a swordsman from the Aldana household, he pledged his loyalty to Miranda after she saved his life from the Sidhe Reavers.  Killed by a very skilled Villanova swordsman shortly after failing to fulfil a commission for Prince Giovanni Villanova (see under Dead Characters)... Played by Ron.

Fergus – an Avalonian hired in Carleon by Lucas, who travelled with the heroes for some time.  Played by Ken.

Shamus "Señor Picante" McDell O'Grady – a sailor and cook, with shady but useful skills and connections.  Played by Scott.

Father Cristobal – Lucas and Constanza's second confessor, and patron of Señor Picante, he too had unexpected skills. Played by Rick.
