The Explorers' Society – an Avalon-based group with chapter houses in many nations, dedicated to rediscovering the secrets of Théah and its past, and the especially the mysteries of the Syrneth races.
Mode du Lac – Montaigne fashion elite
The Queen's Order of Hospitallers – founded in 1670 by Queen Sara of Castille, but now gradually extending throughout Théah. Despite the name, a non-religious group.
Royal Association of Scientific Minds (formerly the Royal Fraternity of Scientific Minds) – a group dedicated to the nurturing and protection of member scholars and the sharing of knowledge.
Venerable Order of Esteemed Gentlemen – (Montaigne) Wealthy people who gamble a lot.
Secret Societies
The Inquisition – driven underground when the source of their power, a previously unknown form of Bargain Sorcery, became public
The Invisible College – a group of scholars dedicated to the advancement and safeguarding of knowledge that would be judged too dangerous by the Church or secular powers.
The Invisibles – the secret inner circle of the Knights of the Rose and Cross
Die Kreutzritter – the Black Crosses, protecting Théah from occult forces such as Sorcery and the Thalusai.
Los Vagos – the secret society headed by El Vago himself, dedicated to the protection of Castille. The last five years havw seen Los Vagos restructure and strengthen their organisation, attracting those who had spontaneously started wearing the mask during the Montaigne occupation, and forming new goals: to root out the Inquisition, to identify corrupt dons, to free the city of Barcino, and to protect the interests of Castille abroad. The society now has well organised cells in all countries of Théah except for Ussura, the Crescent Empire and of course Cathay.
MacEacherns – the Clan pretty much operates as a secret society. Guardians of the secret of making Cold Iron weapons, and hence hated by the Fae.
Novus Ordum Mundi – a group bent of taking over Théah. Mwuahahahahah!
Order of the Nibelungen – those entrusted with the secret of forging Dracheneisen
Sophia's Daughters – a group allied with some Faeries, dedicated to the improvement of women's condition and to the protection of some dangerous secrets.
